Elementary school “Đulistan” was founded in 2001, when it was registered as an eight-year elementary school in Sarajevo Canton, Ilijaš Municipality. It is registered in the Register of Elementary Schools of the Sarajevo Canton under serial number 66 on page 66. The school is located in Lješevo, a wonderful place in a gentle valley on the road between Ilijaš and Visoko. Teaching contents are implemented in accordance with the Curriculum and Program of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton.

Primary school “Đulistan” started its work in September 2001. At the beginning, the work took place in very modest conditions, in only one classroom. A modern school facility was built very quickly, which complies with modern pedagogical standards. In addition to classrooms for regular classes, the School has a large number of specialized cabinets. Today, in accordance with the tendencies of creating an information society and raising information literacy, in addition to the information cabinet with 15 computers, each classroom is equipped with a complete computer configuration and an Internet connection. The sports hall in the PBK Campus is used for the implementation of Physical Education and Health Education classes.

It continues until the 2004/05 school year. took place exclusively according to the eight-year education system. Then the first generation of students enrolled in the nine-year education system. School year 2012/13. The last generation of students who attended classes according to the eight-year education system completed their education in 2008. Today, teaching takes place exclusively according to the nine-year system.
